Interpreting in Psychotherapy
An Introductory Course

About the project

The project "Bescheid wissen - Wirklich helfen -Gesund bleiben" between the Network for Traumatised Refugees in Lower Saxony e.V. (NTFN) and Yarmouk University aims to improve the psychotherapeutic treatment of refugees in Jordan, with special focus on Syrian refugees in particular, by qualifying interpreters who work in psychotherapy. The project was implemented with the financial support of the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family of Lower Saxony in 2022. This website was created as an open educational resource containing information about all the training modules and interactive digital and face-to-face training sessions that were conducted as part of the project. It also contains multilingual booklets produced during the first phase of the project which was carried out in 2021. To maintain sustainability, the continuation of the project in the form of jointly conducted training is planned for 2023, depending on the approval of further funding by the state of Lower Saxony. .
